Yazaki North America Inc. said it would return as an exhibitor at the Society of Automotive Engineers World Congress and Exposition in March, three years after it pulled out of the event.
Yazaki made the decision after SAE made several format changes to the five-day event, scheduled for March 3-6. The changes include setting up five technology pavilions in the exhibition, each focused on a different technology. Yazaki will get a prime spot in the electronics and software engineering pavilion.
SAE officials hope that Yazaki's move will prompt other Tier 1 suppliers to return to the show. All Tier 1 exhibitors had left by the 2001 event, citing high costs. …
