Qld: Lonergan family to sue dive boat skipper

BRISBANE, Jan 15 AAP - The family of American Thomas Lonergan, who disappeared with
his wife Eileen while diving on Great Barrier Reef two years ago, says it will sue the
skipper of the couple's dive boat.

Geoff "Jack" Nairn was found not guilty late last year of the manslaughter of the Lonergans
after they were left at St Crispin's Reef, off Port Douglas, on January 25, 1998.

Mr Lonergan's parents have lodged a writ seeking upspecified damages against Mr Nairn
in a court in Western Australia, where his company Rye Holdings was registered, …
