Qld: Bad bowels clear company director on jail wait
An Australian company director who's facing extradition to the United States has wonbail after complaining about prison food.
Internet company director PETER JAMES O'SULLIVAN claimed the food was causing havocwith his bowels.
He's charged over a multi-million dollar United States lottery fraud.
O'SULLIVAN'S told the Brisbane Magistrates Court he needs a high fibre diet which isn'tavailable at the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre.
The 55-year-old resorted to showing pictures taken during a May bowel operation attoday's bail hearing.
After granting the businessman bail, Magistrate MICHAEL HALLIDAY suggested he try AllBran as part of his diet.
Magistrate HALLIDAY granted bail with a $500,000 surety and $100,000 cash bond, orderingO'SULLIVAN to report daily to police, hand in his passport, and return to court on February4.
